Sri Laxminarsimha Lorry Transport operates out of H. No. 2-24 in Ravi Pahad Thanda. We are in the Anajipuram area of Bibinagar Mandal. Most of our life revolves around the lorries. We have the trucks parked near the house when they aren't on the road. It is a lot of work keeping them in good shape because the roads around here can be quite rough. I spend a lot of time on the phone talking to drivers or checking on where the loads are. We move all kinds of goods for people, sometimes just locally and sometimes further away. The Thanda is a quiet place, but our work is always moving. There is usually grease on the driveway and the smell of diesel in the air. We don't have a big corporate office; the business is run right from where we live. When a truck breaks down, it’s a big headache and we have to find a mechanic fast. My family helps out with the paperwork and keeping track of the trips. It’s a tough business because fuel prices keep going up and you never know when the next job will come. But we have been doing this in Bibinagar for a long time. We just focus on getting the goods delivered without too much trouble.
