Ramulamma Travels

I spend most of my time behind the wheel or checking the tires. Being based in Ambedkar Nagar in Thirumalagiri means I know these roads pretty well. It’s a busy spot especially when people need to get somewhere fast. The house number is 5-34, right in the heart of the village and mandal. Usually, the mornings start very early, sometimes before the sun is even up properly. I have to make sure the vehicle is clean because nobody likes a dusty seat. People here in T.S. are usually in a hurry to get to the next town or the district office. I don’t use any big maps anymore because the turns are all in my head now. It gets quite loud around here with the local traffic, but you get used to it after a few years. Sometimes the car needs a bit of work, so I spend my Sundays fixing small things or changing the oil. It’s not a fancy travel agency with a big office and glass doors. It’s just me and the car, working from home. I try to keep the fuel tank full so we are always ready to go. It’s a simple way to make a living and I’ve been doing it for a long time. The neighbors know the car well by now. If someone calls, I just pick them up and we head out. We travel through different districts depending on the passenger's needs. I don't really think about much else while I'm on the road, just the next stop. It’s a lot of driving, but it’s what I know.
