Nayakangudem Farmers Producer Companylimited is based right here in the village of Naikangudem in Kasumanchi. Our main point of contact is at H No: 5-107, which is a house many people in the area recognize. It isn’t like some big city office. Most days you’ll find someone sitting out front talking about the weather or the current prices for crops. We deal with the stuff that actually matters to people growing food in this part of the world. K Srilatha helps keep things organized, which is a big job given how many different people are involved. We spend our time figuring out how to get better seeds or where to sell what we’ve grown. There’s a lot of dust and noise sometimes, especially when it’s harvest season and everyone is moving at once. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just have our names and our reputation in the village. If you come by the house, you’ll see we keep things very simple. There are ledgers and maybe some sacks of grain sitting around. It’s a group effort and we all just try to contribute what we can to make it work. It’s not always easy and we have our disagreements, but that’s just part of working with your neighbors. We just focus on the next crop and making sure everything is ready for the planting season. We stay busy with the day to day chores.
