Kocherla Bakkamma

I am Kocherla Bakkamma and my place is at H. No. 2-P3/2 in Shanti Nagar. This is in Yerkaram village, part of Suryapet. I’ve been staying here for many years. I do some small work from my home to keep things going. It isn't a big shop or anything like that. People in the colony know me and stop by if they need something. The house is in a quiet part of Shanti Nagar. I usually wake up early to get things ready for the day. Sometimes the neighbors come over to sit and talk for a bit. It’s just a regular house with a small area where I keep my things for work. Suryapet is growing fast but our village area still feels the same as it always was. I don't have any staff or big machines to help me. It’s just me handling everything myself. The address is a bit long to write down but everyone around here knows where house 2-P3/2 is. I keep my accounts in a small diary I keep on the table. Some days are busier than others. When it’s the season for farming work, many people are out in the fields so it gets very quiet in the colony. I just do what I can and look after my family. It’s a simple way of living here in Yerkaram. Sometimes I have to go to the main market to get supplies, but mostly I am here.
