Prahar Wasudeo Leela Vidya Kunj

You can find us at 114 Pande Layout in the Khamla area of Nagpur. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it feels very much like a home-grown kind of place. The school is called Prahar Wasudeo Leela Vidya Kunj, which is quite a mouthful, but the locals just know us as the school in the layout. We have been operating out of this building for years. It’s not a giant institutional campus; it fits right in with the houses around here. Nagpur gets really hot in the summer, so we have plenty of fans going in the classrooms. The street outside is usually lined with scooters and cycles when the parents come by. We have a small staff of people who have lived in Khamla for a long time. It’s a very casual atmosphere, not like those big corporate schools in the city center. Kids are always running around the front area during their breaks. We don’t do much in the way of big events, just the regular school days. Most of our students come from the nearby blocks in Pande Layout. We like it this way because we know everyone by name. It’s just a neighborhood school where we focus on teaching the kids what they need to know. No fancy stuff, just regular desks and blackboards and daily lessons. It is a very humble operation, and we are fine with that. We just keep the gates open for the families.
