O P Singh Orchestra is situated in Sitabuldi, right opposite Modi No 3 in the Netaji Market area. This part of town is always buzzing, and being in a market means there’s never a quiet moment. We’ve got instruments and sound gear tucked into almost every corner of the shop. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze, but it works for us. We spend our time tuning things, testing speakers, and talking to musicians who stop by. The market outside is full of people selling all sorts of things, so the energy is high. We don’t really follow a strict corporate schedule; we open up, have some tea, and see who needs help with their music setup. People know us for being here in Sitabuldi for years. It’s an old-school way of doing things, really. We don’t have a website that does much, mostly we just talk to folks face-to-face. The air in the market is always a mix of street food and dust, but we like it here. When the orchestra isn't out performing, we're here fixing equipment or practicing. It’s a lot of work carrying heavy speakers through the narrow market lanes, but that’s just part of the job. We aren’t trying to be the biggest name, just the one that’s always here when someone needs music for a wedding or a local function.
