Nu Academy

Nu Academy is tucked away in the Lig Quarter area of Vaishali Nagar. If you know the Durga Mandir at Bhawani Chowk, we are just a short walk from there. The location is quite residential, so it’s usually peaceful, except during festival times when the mandir gets really busy. We have a few rooms here where we sit down with the students. It’s not very big, but it’s enough for what we do. I remember when we first got the keys, the place was empty and we had to move all the heavy desks in ourselves. Now, it feels a bit cramped because of all the notebooks and bags, but that’s just how it is. We don't have any fancy signs or big lights outside. Most people find us through word of mouth or just by walking past. The walls are a bit plain, maybe they need a new coat of paint soon. We spend our evenings here, mostly helping kids with their homework and preparing for tests. Sometimes we have tea together when there's a break. The students are mostly local kids from the colony. It’s a very local thing, you know? We don't do much marketing. We just open the doors and start teaching. It gets a bit chaotic when everyone arrives at the same time, but we find a way to settle them down. It’s just a regular place for learning without any extra fuss or unnecessary pressure.
