Iim Gurukul

Iim Gurukul sits right on the third floor of Mangalam Arcade in Nagpur. Most people know the building because Venus Book Depot is right below us on the ground floor. It is a handy spot since students can just grab their stationery or books downstairs before heading up to see us. We are located in Gokul Peth along South Ambazari Road which is a pretty central area. The elevator in the arcade works most of the time but some of us just take the stairs for the exercise when it is busy. It’s a bit of a climb to the third floor though. Inside it is just a bunch of rooms where we sit and go through lessons. We have a few staff members who have been here since the start. It gets a bit noisy outside with the traffic but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We spend our mornings setting up the rooms and getting the schedules sorted out on the board. It isn't a massive corporate office or anything like that. Just a local spot where people come to study. Sometimes we have tea together in the small break area when things slow down in the afternoon. Nagpur summers are tough so we keep the fans going all day. We try to make sure everyone has a place to sit and work quietly. It’s just a normal day-to-day operation here in the heart of the city. We like it here and the people are good.
