We’ve been at Dharampeth Towers for a while now. If you know Nagpur, you know WHC Road is always busy and full of life. Our place is on the second floor, right near Anand Bhandar. You can usually smell the food from there in the afternoons when the wind blows the right way. It’s just a bunch of us here trying to help students get through their exams without too much stress. The stairs can be a bit of a climb when the lift is acting up, but we have all gotten used to it by now. Most days start pretty early with the staff opening up the shutters and getting the desks ready for the morning batch. It’s not a fancy office, just some classrooms and plenty of books lying around in stacks. We spend a lot of time talking to parents who stop by after their work hours. Sometimes it gets a bit loud with the traffic outside, but once the doors are closed, it is quiet enough to focus on the work. People know us by the building name mostly. We don’t do much of that fancy stuff, just keep the lights on and make sure the students have a place to sit and study. It’s a local spot, nothing more. We see the same faces every day, kids coming from all over the city. Sometimes we run out of markers or the tea runs out, and someone has to run down. It is just how a normal place runs.
