Ashish Traders

Ashish Traders is tucked away in Ambedkar Nagar, right near Wadi. It’s the kind of place where you know everyone on the street. We started this because we wanted to run something of our own in the neighborhood. The space isn’t very large, but we make it work by stacking things high and keeping everything organized in our own way. It might look a bit cluttered to someone walking in for the first time, but we know exactly where every single item is kept. Most of our days are spent talking to locals or handling deliveries that come in on the back of small trucks. The dust from the road near Wadi sometimes blows in, so we’re always dusting off the shelves. We don't have a marketing team or a fancy office. It’s just a desk, a couple of chairs, and the stock we sell. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back on, chatting with whoever passes by. We've seen kids grow up in this area and now they come in to buy things for their own homes. It makes you feel like you're part of the furniture around here. We don't try to be anything we're not. We just open up in the morning, do our trade, and close up when the sun goes down. It’s a simple life and it works for us and our families. We like being part of the Ambedkar Nagar community.
