Adhiraj Apparels Private Limited is run from a flat in Nagpur. It’s Flat No 4G in Manohar Vihar, which is where Ashwin Turankar lives. We use the extra rooms to manage the business. It’s not your typical office. We have clothes and boxes stacked in the hallway sometimes. Nagpur gets really hot in the summer, so we try to get the heavy work done early in the morning. We don't have a big sign outside or a showroom. It’s just us working from the apartment. We handle a lot of the apparel tasks ourselves. It's a small operation. We started this because we wanted to work for ourselves. Sometimes the neighbors wonder why so many packages are being delivered, but they are used to it now. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. We just talk to people and get orders that way. It's honest work. The flat is a bit small when we have a lot of stock, but we make it work. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the garments. It’s just how we do things. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make decent clothes and keep our customers happy. It's just a way to save money and keep the business going without a big office. We usually have lunch together in the small dining area.
