Mad Me Stores

Mad Me Stores is right next to Lake View Lodge, very close to the Sbi Bank. It’s a good little spot because a lot of people walk past on their way to the bank or when they are staying at the lodge. The store isn't very large, so we have to be smart about what we keep on the shelves. We mostly sell everyday items that people might need in a hurry. Because of the road right outside, it gets quite dusty, so we are always wiping down the counters and the jars. The afternoons are usually the busiest when the bank is full of people. We don't have a lot of help, so it’s usually just me or my sister working here. We’ve been at this location for some time now and we’ve gotten to know the regular faces. It’s a simple setup with a basic counter and some old wooden shelves. We keep our records in a big notebook. Sometimes you can smell the lake when the wind blows a certain way, especially in the summer. We open up early and we don't close until late in the evening. It’s just a regular shop doing what it can to serve the neighborhood. We don't have any fancy lights or music. It’s just a place to buy your stuff and maybe have a quick chat before you head on your way. We like being near the lodge.
