We’re based out of House No. 641 in Marartoli, right on Mata Mandir Road. It’s an old-school Nagpur neighborhood, and being in a house instead of a big office block makes the work feel a bit different. You can hear the temple bells in the morning and evening, which is quite nice actually. Our work involves a lot of data and talking to people, so the office is usually full of the sound of clicking keyboards and low voices on the phone. We don't have any fancy signs out front, just a simple place where we get the job done. The rooms are filled with desks squeezed together, and there’s always a stack of survey forms somewhere that needs sorting. It gets pretty hot in the summer, so we all stay close to the coolers. People in the neighborhood are used to seeing us coming and going at all hours. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a polished image. We just care about getting the numbers right and finishing our reports on time. Sometimes the chai wala misses our order, or the printer jams right when we’re in a hurry, but that’s just life in a small office. It’s a practical, no-nonsense environment. We focus on the research and the people we are talking to. It’s honest work in a quiet corner of Nagpur, and that suits us just fine. We just take it one day at a time.
