Surender Reddy Flour Mill

Our mill is tucked away at Plot No 722 in the Ramnagar Colony of Chattanpally village. It is a part of Farooqnagar mandal in the Mahabubnagar district. If you live around here, you probably know the sound of our machines. Surender Reddy Flour Mill is a busy place, especially in the mornings when everyone brings their grain. We spend the day grinding wheat, jowar, and sometimes chillies or turmeric. The air inside is always thick with the smell of fresh flour and a bit of dust that settles on everything. We don't have any big signs or fancy decorations. It is just a workspace with heavy machines and sacks of grain piled up. We treat every customer the same, whether they have a small bag or several large ones. Sometimes the line gets long and people have to wait their turn while chatting outside. We don't have a computer to track things; we just use a simple notebook and our scales. The work is dusty and loud, but it is necessary for the village. We’ve seen the colony grow over the years, but the way we grind the grain hasn't changed much. We keep the machines running as long as there is power and grain to process. It’s an honest, local business that serves the people right here in Chattanpally. We don't do any advertising because everyone knows where we are. We just focus on the work and the people who come to our door every single day.
