Hamsiya Flour Mill

Hamsiya Flour Mill is a small local business in Kadthal village. We are located at 3-188 which is very close to the high school. Being in the Amangal Mandal of Mahabubnagar means we get a lot of people from the surrounding rural areas coming in. The mill itself is a very simple building with the grinding machines taking up most of the space. There is almost always a smell of fresh grain in the air when you walk in. We spend our days pouring sacks of wheat or corn into the hoppers and watching the flour come out the other side. It is a dusty job and our clothes are usually covered in it by lunchtime. We do not have any big signs or advertisements. People just know where we are because we have been here for a long time. The noise of the motors is quite loud so we have to shout sometimes to be heard over them. When the high school lets out in the afternoon the street outside gets very busy with students walking home. We mostly work with the farmers and families who live nearby. It is hard work on the back because of all the lifting but it is what we do. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to spend a few hours fixing the belts or cleaning the parts. It is just a regular village flour mill.
