Modern Junior College, Ambagan

Modern Junior College is located in Ambagan, which is part of the Nagaon district in Assam. It’s a bit of a different pace of life out here compared to the big cities. The college is set in an area where there is still a lot of greenery around, and the air feels a bit fresher. We are in the 782120 area, and most of the students who come here are from the surrounding local neighborhoods. The building is a simple one, nothing too flashy, with classrooms that open up to the outside air. During the monsoon season, it gets very wet, and you can hear the rain drumming on the roof while the lectures are going on. We have a small office where we handle all the admissions and student records, and it usually feels a bit cramped when everyone is there at once. The students here are mostly teenagers finishing up their junior college years, so there’s a lot of energy around the place. You’ll see them gathered under the trees during their breaks or walking down the road toward the local shops. It’s a quiet, hardworking environment. We do not have a lot of fancy equipment, but we have the essentials for teaching. It’s just a local college where we all know each other and we spend our days getting through the lessons and preparing for the next set of exams. It is a simple life but it's ours.
