Bimala Academy

Bimala Academy is located in Jakhala Benbha, near Nagaon in Assam. If you are looking for us, we are right near the Nol Petrol Pump, which is how most people find their way here. It’s a good landmark to have. The school sits on a decent piece of land and we have a few different buildings for the classes. It’s a bit of a rural setting, so things are a little quieter here than they would be in the middle of a big city. We have teachers who have lived in this part of Assam their whole lives, so they really understand the students. The day starts early before it gets too hot. We focus on the regular school subjects that every child needs to know. There is a lot of green around us, which is nice for the kids during their lunch break. We don't have any fancy air conditioning, just ceiling fans and open windows to catch the breeze. The classrooms are simple with plain walls and sturdy furniture. We try to make sure every child gets some attention and stays on track with their studies. It isn’t a place with a lot of modern flash, but it is a steady and reliable place for the local community to send their children. We just do our best with what we have and keep the doors open for everyone.
