Our office is situated in Karim Pur, specifically in the Laxmi Para area of Nadia, West Bengal. It’s a local spot where everyone seems to know everyone else. Petron Civil Engg. Pvt. Ltd is based here, and we’ve been part of the local scene for some time. The building we use is pretty basic, but it serves our needs for the civil engineering work we handle. We have a few rooms set up for our staff, and there’s always a stack of papers somewhere that needs looking at. The humidity in this part of Bengal can be really something in the summer, so we keep the fans going all day long. We don’t have a big marketing budget or any fancy signs out front. Most of our work comes through local connections or people who have seen our projects before. We try to keep a regular schedule, though engineering work often means staying late to finish a particular task. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. Sometimes the rain makes the roads around here a bit difficult, but we still manage to get to work on time. We’re just a group of people who live and work in the community. We don't use much corporate jargon; we just talk about the work and how to get it done. It’s a practical way to run things, and it has worked for us so far.
