Our spot is over in Ghoshpara, near Mira Bazaar in the Plassey area of Nadia district. Consulting Engineering Services (I) Pvt. Ltd. is what we call ourselves. Being out here in West Bengal, things have a certain pace. It’s not the rush of a big city, which we actually appreciate. We spend our time on various engineering tasks. The office is close to the bazaar, so there’s usually something going on nearby. Most of us grew up around here or have lived here long enough to feel like locals. We do the kind of work that requires a lot of patience and looking at small details. It’s mostly technical stuff that people don't think about until they need it. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to do our jobs and go home to our families. Sometimes the weather gets really hot and the fans just move the warm air around, but we keep working. Engineering is about solving problems, and we have plenty of those to keep us busy. People stop by sometimes just to chat or ask a quick question about a project. We don't mind. It’s part of being in a place like Mira Bazaar. We’ve got our routine down, and it works for us. It’s a simple life of numbers and plans in a part of the country we know well and enjoy living in.
