Ranigad Farmer Producer Company Limited is out in Jadapara, which is part of the Raighar block in Nabarangpur. We’ve been around this part of the woods for a while, working the land like most people here do. Our office is just a simple spot in the village of Jadapara. Farming in this area has its ups and downs, mostly depending on when the rain decides to show up. We are a group of farmers who decided it was better to work as a collective rather than trying to figure everything out on our own. It’s not always easy, and sometimes the paperwork gets a bit confusing, but we do our best. The soil around here is okay, but it takes a lot of effort to get a good harvest. Most of us spend our days out in the fields and then meet up at the Po Jadapara location to discuss what needs to be done next. Nabarangpur is a long way from the big cities, so we rely on each other quite a bit. We grow the usual crops that fit the climate here. It’s a plain, honest way of living. We don't have any fancy machines or big corporate offices, just a desk and some chairs where we sit and talk. Everyone in the group is a local, so we understand the problems that come with farming in this specific part of Odisha. We aren't here to impress anyone, just to grow our food.
