Pottangi Agro Products Producer Company Limited

Our group, Pottangi Agro Products Producer Company Limited, is based right out of Kuni Khora’s house in Badagaon. If you are looking for us, we are at Word No. 11, House No. 25. It’s a busy place with people coming and going all day. We deal with the local crops grown around the Pottangi area. Most of us have been farming these hills for a long time. We thought it would be better to work as a single group rather than everyone doing their own thing. It’s not always easy to get things organized. Sometimes the truck is late or the harvest isn't what we hoped for. We spend a lot of time sitting on the porch talking about the market and the prices. Everyone knows Kuni Khora’s place, so it was easy to just set up there. We handle things like ginger and other vegetables that do well in this soil. It’s noisy and there are always kids running around while we try to look at the books. It’s just a local effort to keep our farms going. We don't have any big corporate backing, just the people who live in the village and work the land. We’ve had some tough seasons, but we keep at it because that’s what we know. If you pass by Badagaon, you’ll see us there working on the next load of produce.
