Vater

Mumbai is a crowded place, especially in Khar East. We are located in Jawahar Nagar, at a place called Begumbhai Chawl. Our specific spot is Room Number 2. It’s not a large area, but Vater fits in just fine. If you know Mumbai, you know how these chawls are—lots of people, lots of talk, and everyone knows everyone else. It’s a very local way to work. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. You just come to the door of Room 2. Being in Mumbai-55 means we are right in the thick of things. The walls are a bit thin, so you hear the neighbors and the street, but that’s just part of the charm, I guess. We’ve got our equipment squeezed in, and we make it work every single day. It’s a practical setup for us. We don’t need much else. Jawahar Nagar is a busy neighborhood, and being in the chawl keeps us grounded. There’s always something happening outside. Sometimes it’s a bit loud, but we don’t mind. It feels real. It’s not like those glass towers in the other parts of the city. We are right here on the ground, doing our thing in a small room in Khar. It’s simple, it’s a bit messy sometimes, but it’s our home. We just keep moving forward with what we have and make the most of the space.
