Kadkani River Resort Karnataka Coorgh

Things are a bit different for us out here in Coorg. We operate Kadkani River Resort and spend most of our time near the water. It’s a lot of work keeping a place like this running, especially when the seasons change and the river level goes up and down. People usually find us through the email address we use, which is just a simple Yahoo account we’ve had for ages. It’s not a fancy corporate setup. We sit in the office, check the messages, and try to keep everything organized for when people show up. The air is definitely fresher here than in the cities, but the work is still hard. We deal with the gardens, the rooms, and making sure the river bank is safe. Sometimes the internet is slow because we are tucked away, so we have to be patient with the emails. We’ve been doing this for a while and have seen all kinds of weather, from the heavy rains that soak everything to the bright sunny days where you can see for miles. It’s a messy job sometimes, getting your boots muddy and fixing things that break in the damp air. We don't spend much time worrying about looking polished. We just want the place to be ready for whoever is coming down the road next. It’s just life in the hills, really, keeping the resort going day by day.
