Our site is located at 91-A in the Belagola Industrial Area in Metagalli. Being in an industrial zone means there is always the sound of machinery and trucks moving in the background. We work on pharmaceuticals here, so the environment inside is kept quite clean and organized, though the outside can be a bit dusty like any other factory area. The morning shift starts early when the sun is just coming up. We spend a lot of time monitoring the equipment and making sure the production lines are running like they are supposed to. It is a lot of hands-on work and staying on your feet for several hours at a time. The area of Metagalli has a lot of other businesses around, so there is a constant flow of workers during the shift changes. We usually eat our lunch in the small break area we have set up. It is a practical space, nothing too elaborate, just somewhere to sit for a few minutes. We have a lot of containers and raw materials arriving at the gate which need to be logged and stored. The guys in the warehouse are always busy moving things around with the pallet jacks. It is a straightforward operation where everyone knows their job and just gets on with it. We deal with a lot of regulations, so there is always some paperwork to fill out after the physical work is done. It is a lot of work to keep everything moving, but we just get it done.
