Being in Mumbai, especially in an area like Mahim, means things are always moving fast around us. Sahara India Media & Entertainment is the name on the paperwork, but here in the lodge, it feels more like a small hub of activity. The building has that old Mumbai feel to it, with narrow hallways and the smell of the sea not too far away. We do a lot of media work, which sounds more exciting than it actually is on a Tuesday morning. It involves a lot of editing, talking on the phone, and trying to keep track of different files and tapes. The office isn't very big, so we all know what everyone else is doing at any given time. Sometimes we stay late because the work just needs to get finished, and you can hear the city noise dying down outside. We don't go in for fancy mission statements or corporate branding. We are just a group of people in Mahim trying to get the job done and maybe catch the train home before it gets too crowded. The fans hum in the background and the desks are usually covered in papers and coffee mugs. It is just our regular way of working and we are used to the noise.
