Lecturer

I work as a Lecturer at the Govt. P.U College in Hariharapura. My name is Girish K. L. and I am specifically involved with the JOC department here. The college is located in K.R. Pet Taluk, which is part of Mandya District in Karnataka. It is a quiet area compared to the big cities, and that makes for a good environment for teaching and learning. My days are mostly spent in the classroom or in the staff room grading papers. Being a lecturer in a government college means dealing with a lot of different students from the local villages. We have our routines and the college schedule keeps us busy from morning until late afternoon. Hariharapura is a small place but the college is a big part of the community. I have been here for some time now and I have gotten used to the pace of life in Mandya. The commute is not too bad and the college grounds are usually well-kept. We do not have all the latest gadgets, but we make do with what we have. It is honest work and I take it one day at a time. The students keep me on my toes and there is always some paperwork to finish for the department. It is a simple life here at the P.U college, focusing on the classes and helping the kids get through their exams without too much trouble.
