Working out here at the Mysor Campus in the Kiadd Industrial Area means a lot of space and a lot of quiet compared to the city center. The drive out here takes some time but once you arrive, it feels very different. Our building is a simple structure that focuses more on being functional than looking pretty. We have a lot of metal shelves and heavy equipment sitting around in the main area. The floor is concrete and can get quite cold in the winter months. We usually wear jackets while we move things around or check the inventory. There is a small lunchroom where we all sit together around a plastic table to eat. The industrial area has its own rhythm with trucks coming and going at all hours. We spend a lot of time looking at manuals and checking parts to make sure everything is where it should be. It is a very practical environment. We don't have any decorative plants or fancy rugs. The focus is always on the machines and the tasks at hand. Sometimes a stray dog wanders into the yard and we give it some water. It’s a straightforward way to spend the day, just making sure the day-to-day operations keep ticking along without any major hiccups or problems.
