Gm-South Western Railway

You will find us over at 1399, Shreenivasa, on the 1st Cross of Poornadrishti Road in the Kuvempunagara area of Mysore. This is the office for Gm-South Western Railway. We are in the C&D Block, which is a place most people around here can find pretty easily. We take care of the administrative side of the railway operations from this building. It is not like a train station where you see the tracks; it is more of an office where we do all the planning and management. We have a lot of desks, heaps of files, and people constantly working on logistics and schedules. Running a whole railway system is a huge task with many different parts, and our office handles its own share of that work every day. We spend most of our time looking at reports, maps, and figures. It can feel a bit dry sometimes, but it is what keeps the trains moving on time. We have been in this Mysore location for a long time now. The people working here are locals who know this city well. We do not bother with fancy office decorations because we need a functional space for the work we do. Sometimes we have to stay late to fix a problem, but that is just how it goes. We just keep the back-end of the railway moving so that everything else can run smoothly for the passengers who use the service every day.
