Ginger

Ginger is located at 68 Kalighat Road in Kolkata, which is a part of the city that never really stops moving. Being so close to the Kalighat post office and police station means there is always something going on outside our door. This part of Kolkata has so much history and it feels very lived-in. The streets are narrow and crowded with people, yellow taxis, and vendors. We’ve been at this address for a bit, and we’ve seen the seasons change from the heavy rains to the heat. Our building is right on the main stretch, so it’s pretty easy for anyone coming from the temple area or the market to find us. We don’t have any big signs or anything too flashy. It’s just a regular doorway on Kalighat Road. Inside, it’s a bit quieter than the street, but you can still hear the trams and the horns honking if you listen closely. Most of us who work here have been in the city for years, so we’re used to the pace. We handle things as they come, whether it's dealing with the post office down the road or just grabbing tea from the stall nearby. It’s a local operation through and through. We don't try to act like a big corporate office because that just wouldn't fit in here. We like being part of the 700026 neighborhood and being around the local shops. It is just where we are based.
