Southern Furnishers

Southern Furnishers is located on Basaveshwara Road in Mysore. We’re at number 2244, specifically the 5th Cross in K R Mohalla. If you know where Gaddichowka is, then finding us is easy. We’ve been working with wood and fabric here for quite a few years. It’s not a fancy showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a workshop where you can smell the sawdust and the polish. We spend most of our time measuring things and cutting wood. Sometimes the floor is a bit messy with shavings, but that's just part of the job. We make sofas, chairs, and cupboards for folks around the neighborhood. People stop by to see what we're working on or to ask if we can fix an old table. We don't use any high-tech machinery, just the usual tools and our hands. Every piece we make has its own little quirks because it’s not coming off a factory line. Mysore has a long history of good woodwork, and we try to keep that going in our own small way. It’s just us here, a few guys who know how to handle a hammer and a saw. We don’t have a big corporate office or anything like that. Just a shop on a quiet cross-road in K R Mohalla. We just build things that are meant to last for a long time.
