Ajay Caterers is located right here in Ramakrishnanagar, specifically in E & F Block. It’s been our base for quite some time. We aren’t a massive company with a PR team. It’s just us working out of No.181. Most mornings start with the sound of large containers being moved around. We handle a lot of local functions. Some people want breakfast for a small group, others need dinner for a whole crowd. We do both. It gets quite loud when the stoves are all going at once. We don't spend money on big ads because word usually gets around the neighborhood anyway. The floor is usually a bit wet from cleaning the giant vessels we use. We use local ingredients and try not to overcomplicate the recipes. If you come by, you’ll probably see us sorting through vegetables or checking the delivery van. It’s not a glamorous job, especially when you have to carry heavy stacks of plates up a flight of stairs. But it pays the bills and keeps the community fed. We like the routine of it. Sometimes a customer calls last minute and we have to scramble, but we usually figure it out. We don’t have a fancy waiting area, just a desk with a lot of notebooks and old bills on it. It’s just a regular local business doing what we know.
