Out here on Yelwala Road, things are a bit different than the city center. Based in Belwadi, the foundry is a place where you’ll always find a bit of dust and plenty of heat. That’s just how it goes when you’re working with metal and molds. Most of the staff live nearby, so this business has become a bit of a fixture in this area over the years. Marketing teams aren't really our thing; we mostly just talk to people who need castings done. Our floor is always covered in sand and bits of iron, which is exactly how a foundry should look if it’s actually working. Sometimes the weather gets really hot and makes the furnace work even tougher, but the crew is used to it. Tools stay simple and processes are kept straightforward. People come to us when they need parts that are solid and heavy. There's no glossy reception area because we spend all our time near the pours. It’s hard work, and your hands get dirty within five minutes of starting the shift. There’s a certain way the iron smells when it’s molten that you never really forget. Production lists keep us busy, and we just keep our heads down to get through them. It's a quiet life in Belwadi, except for the noise coming from our shed.
