Barari Farmers Producer Company Limited

Barari Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out of the village Bhaisdiaratola. We use Satyanarayan Sharma’s place as our main spot for everything. This is part of the Lakshmipur panchayat area. It is basically just a group of us who live and work in the Badi Bhaisidiara area. We handle things related to the local farms. It started because we needed a way to organize what we were doing on the land. Sometimes it’s a bit unorganized but we manage to get the work done. The village life keeps us pretty grounded and we aren't trying to do anything too big. We just focus on what the farmers here need day to day. Usually, someone is hanging around the house if there are questions about the produce or the season's crops. It’s quiet out here for the most part, except when we are moving goods. We don't really have a staff that sits at desks. Most of our meetings happen while we're standing outside or walking through the village. We wanted to make sure the farmers in Barari had a name for their group. It’s been a learning process for all of us involved. You won't find any shiny signs or lobbies here. Just a house and some people trying to make a living off the soil. We’re glad to be part of the community in Lakshmipur and keep things simple.
