Ismail Fly Ash Bricks

We started Ismail Fly Ash Bricks because we saw a lot of people building around Dharmadanga and Dewa. It’s just us here working in the yard most days. Fly ash is what we use, and it makes a different kind of brick than the old red ones. We are right by Farakka, so we get a lot of locals coming by to see what we have. It’s not a huge setup with machines everywhere, just a practical place where we get the work done. Some days are busier than others when the trucks come in. We spend a lot of time stacking and checking the batches. It’s dusty work, and your hands get rough, but it feels good to see a load go out to a new house site. We don't have a big office or anything like that, just a small space to sit. Usually, someone is always around if you drop by. We’ve been at this for a bit now, learning how the mix works best. The weather can be a pain, especially when it pours, because then everything gets messy and we have to wait for things to dry out. People in the village know us. We aren't trying to be anything fancy. We just make bricks and sell them to people who need them for their walls or shops. If you come down the road towards the post office, you’ll find us easily enough. It’s just honest work in the heat of the day.
