Zenex Bike Modification

Down in Dahisar East, specifically at Shop No 6 in Dawood Shaikh Chawl, that’s where you will find us. Zenex Bike Modification is usually covered in a bit of oil and dust. We spend our time with bikes, mostly taking things apart and putting them back together. It’s a tight space but we make it work. There is always a bike parked out front. Usually, there is some music playing from a small radio to keep us going. The neighbors in the chawl are used to the sound of engines revving by now. We don't have a big waiting room or fancy coffee. Usually, people just stand around and watch us work on the handle bars or the exhaust. It’s hot work, especially in the afternoons. I started this because I just liked messing around with my own bike years ago. Now it’s just a daily routine of nuts, bolts, and paint. Some days are slow and we just clean the tools. Other days, we have three bikes lined up and not enough hands. The shop is small but it has everything we need to get the job finished. We don’t talk much, just focus on the metal. Dahisar is a busy part of town so there is always someone passing by and asking prices. We just tell them what it is and get back to the grease. That is how it goes here.
