Yoke Corporation

Our office is located on the second floor of the Elar Building on Senapati Bapat Marg. It is a busy part of Dadar West, especially since we are so close to the Jogani Industrial Estate. You can hear the traffic and the horns from the street all through the day. The building itself is a bit old, and the elevator is slow, so most of us just walk up the stairs to save time. Inside, the space is mostly filled with desks, some old filing cabinets, and samples of the materials we handle. It isn't a place for showing off; it is just where we do our daily work. We spend a lot of time on the telephone or typing up things on the computer. Sometimes the tea boy from downstairs brings us a round of cutting chai in the afternoon. The windows are usually closed to keep out the dust from the industrial area nearby. It gets pretty warm in the office when the sun is hitting the building in the late afternoon. We have a few fans going, but they mostly just move the warm air around. We aren't a massive corporation with a lot of fancy titles. We are just a small team trying to get through the work and keep things moving. It’s a practical environment for a practical business. We’ve been in this spot for years and know the other people in the building quite well. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy to worry about that.
