Yamama Perfumes

Md. Ali Road is always busy. If you’ve been down to the Commercial Chamber, you know how the traffic gets around Masjid Bunder. We are at number 63, operating as Yamama Perfumes. It’s a tight spot but we make it work. Most days start with unpacking bottles and checking what came in the night before. The air here smells like a mix of everything, mostly the oils we work with. People come in from the street tired from the heat, and it's a bit quieter inside our walls. We don’t have much space for fancy displays. Mostly, it’s just shelves and boxes. My father started this years ago, and we just keep it going the same way. We see the same faces every week, mostly local guys or traders passing through the market area. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just keep the door open for some light. It gets dusty being right on the main road, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the counters. We aren't trying to be some big brand you see in the malls. We just sell what people want and try to get the orders right. The lunch break is usually quick because someone always knocks at the door just as we sit down. That's just how life is here in the middle of the city. We’ve seen the shops around us change names ten times, but we’re still here at the same old spot.
