Woodrums

Woodrums is tucked away at 12 Krishna Kunj on M.G. Road in the Rajawadi area of Ghatkopar East. If you know Mumbai, you know how crowded and lively this part of the city is. We’ve been operating from this spot for quite some time now. It’s an old building, but it serves us well for what we do with wood. We spend most of our mornings sorting through materials. The traffic on M.G. Road can be a headache sometimes, especially when we have a delivery coming in. Our space is filled with the smell of sawdust and fresh wood. We aren't a corporate giant. We are just a few people who know how to handle timber. Most of our neighbors know us by name. It’s a tight-knit spot in Rajawadi. We don't bother with fancy brochures or expensive ads. Usually, people just find us by word of mouth or by seeing the sign when they walk past. The work is physical and sometimes messy, but we don't mind that. We take our breaks together and talk about whatever is happening in the news. It’s a comfortable place to work. Sometimes the humidity in Mumbai makes the wood act up, so we have to be careful with storage. We just do our thing every day and try to keep the workshop organized. It’s been our home for years and we don’t plan on moving anytime soon. It’s a good spot.
