Wood N Gift

Wood N Gift is our small operation located on S. V. Road in Goregaon West. We are at Shop No. 2, right near the Ram Mandir area. If you’re looking for us, we’re essentially next to the Gokul Bar and Restaurant, which usually has a lot of people hanging around. Being on S. V. Road means there is a constant stream of cars and buses going by, so it’s never really quiet here. We deal with wooden items and various gifts, so the shop often has that faint scent of cut wood and polish. It’s a small space, and we have things piled up quite high in the corners. We do our own thing, mostly just managing the inventory and talking to whoever walks through the door. Sometimes people come in just to escape the heat or the rain for a second while they wait for a bus. We don’t mind. The shop is a bit old-fashioned, with wooden shelves that we probably should have replaced years ago, but they still hold up. We spend a lot of our time just organizing the smaller gift items so they don’t get lost behind the bigger wooden pieces. It’s a lot of work to keep a small business going on such a busy road, but we’ve been here long enough that it feels like home. We just take each day as it comes and try to keep the place looking decent for the neighbors.
