Wiperdrive Engineering

Vatsa House is where we are, right on the ground floor. It’s on 11 Janmabhoomi Marg in Fort. Being in Fort is special because the buildings have so much history and character. Our office has those high ceilings and thick walls you don't see much anymore in new buildings. It stays relatively cool even when it’s hot outside. The street outside is always busy with people walking to the station or heading to the nearby offices. We do engineering work, mostly focused on drives and mechanical things. There’s always a bit of grease on someone’s hands. It’s not the cleanest job in the world, but we like it that way. The ground floor location is handy for when we have to move parts in and out. We don't have to deal with elevators or stairs. The lighting inside is okay, but we use extra lamps on the workbenches to see clearly. Most of the staff has been with the company for a long time. We have a rhythm. Someone puts the kettle on around ten in the morning. We don't really do the whole corporate culture thing. It’s more about getting the orders right and making sure the engineering is solid. Janmabhoomi Marg is a tight squeeze for cars, so most of us take the train every day. It’s a short walk from the station. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, but our corner of Vatsa House stays pretty much the same. It works for us.
