Windsor Houseware

Our place is over at 26/A in the Sidhpura Industrial Estate. It’s right near the Kawat Club on S.V. Road in Goregaon West. Being in an industrial estate means there is always a lot of noise from trucks and people moving crates around. We’ve been set up here for a long time. It’s a practical workspace, not a showroom. We spend our days dealing with houseware items, mostly checking boxes and making sure everything is where it should be. The estate entrance is a bit narrow, so it’s always a bit of a struggle when the big deliveries come in. We know the other folks working in the neighboring units pretty well. We often see each other at the small tea stall just outside the gate. Inside our unit, it gets quite warm during the summer months, so we keep the big ceiling fans going all day. There’s a lot of cardboard and packing tape everywhere. We don’t have any fancy office furniture, just some old desks and a few chairs that have seen better days. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living. We just focus on the work at hand and don’t worry much about the rest. Most people who come here are looking for specific house items and they know we keep things organized. It's just a regular warehouse life in Goregaon, and we’ve gotten used to the daily rhythm of it.
