Our small office is tucked away in Kandivali East at number 216. It’s a quiet enough area most of the time, which is actually really good when you’re trying to concentrate on complex web projects or debugging. We’ve been here for a bit now, and the neighbors in the building are mostly used to us coming and going at odd hours when we have a lot on our plates. The space inside is mostly taken up by monitors and a mess of cables that we haven't quite managed to hide away yet. We don’t really do much in the way of decorating the walls; there are just a few plants on the windowsill that someone remembers to water every other day so they don't wilt. Working in Kandivali East is convenient for most of us because of the transport links, though finding a parking spot can be a real headache on Tuesday mornings for some reason. We usually just hunker down at our desks and get to work on whatever site or service needs fixing. There’s a small tea stall just down the road where we go when the screens start making our eyes feel tired and we need a break. It’s not a corporate environment at all, just a few of us who know our way around a server and like getting things done without too much fuss or meetings. The lights in the hallway flicker sometimes, but we’ve learned to ignore it and just keep working through the list.
