Bhavna Book House

You can find Bhavna Book House over at Shop No 1 in the Stable Buildingshop, which is 69 D on Warden Road. We are right in the Breach Candy area, which is always moving. If you remember where the old US Consulate used to be, we are pretty much right opposite that spot. It’s an old building, and our shop has that classic feel to it. We spend our time surrounded by books of all kinds. It’s a bit cramped in here sometimes because there are so many stacks, but we know where everything is. Warden Road is a busy street, so we get a lot of people walking by and peeking in. It’s not a modern, shiny bookstore like you see in the malls. It’s more of a local place where you can actually talk to someone. We’ve been at 69 D for a long time now. The Stable Buildingshop has a lot of character, even if it’s a bit worn down in places. Most days are spent dusting shelves and helping people find that one book they’ve been looking for. We don't have a computerized system for everything; sometimes we just have to look through the piles. It’s a quiet kind of work, even with the noise from the street outside. We like being part of the Breach Candy neighborhood. It’s just us and the books at Bhavna Book House. We open up every morning and wait for the readers to come in for a visit.
