We are up on the sixth floor of Dalmal Chamber, in suite 607. It’s a busy building and the elevator sometimes takes a while, so some of us just take the stairs if we aren't carrying anything heavy. Here at Virginia Transformer India Pvt. Ltd., it's a lot of desk work and coordination. We have several rows of desks pushed together. The windows look out over the city but we mostly keep the blinds down to stop the glare on the computer screens. It’s a lot of spreadsheets and scheduling. We have a small corner where we keep the kettle and some biscuits for when the afternoon slump hits. The carpets are a bit worn in the spots where we walk the most. It’s a straightforward environment. We don't spend money on decorations that don't need to be there. People bring in their own lunch boxes and we eat together in the small break area. Sometimes we stay late when a big project is moving along, but usually, we try to get out on time. The phone rings a lot. Most of the guys here know the technical side of transformers inside out, so there’s always some debate going on about a specific design or a part number. It’s just a group of people trying to do a decent job every day without making a fuss about it. We just keep our heads down and do what is required of us.
