Vinodsalunkhe

This is Vinod’s place in Govandi. We’re located in Gautam Nagar, specifically at P.L. Lokhande Marg. It’s a busy part of the M Ward. The space is small, B/886, but it fits what we need. I started this because I wanted something of my own in the neighborhood. We’ve been here for a few years now. It gets crowded on the streets outside, especially in the evenings when everyone is out. We do our daily work from this spot. It’s nothing fancy, just some chairs and the equipment we use. Sometimes the neighbors come by just to chat. We aren't a big corporation or anything like that. It’s just a local operation. Sometimes we have to deal with the rain leaking in a bit during monsoon, but that’s normal for these buildings. We try to keep the place tidy but it’s a working space so there’s always something lying around. We usually start early in the day when it is cooler. The road outside is always being dug up for something, so it gets dusty. We handle the tasks as they come. I usually stay late to finish up the paperwork. Life in Govandi is fast, and we just try to keep up with the pace. If you are looking for us, look for the 7th block. It’s easier to find if you ask the locals. We’ve stayed here because it’s home. Not much else to say, we just do the work every day and hope for the best. It’s a simple setup for simple work.
