Vinod Cookware

Our place, Vinod Cookware, is located at unit 57 in the Evergreen Industrial Estate. That's inside the Laxmi Mills Compound over in Mahalaxmi. It’s a very busy part of the city. There is always a truck being loaded or unloaded somewhere in the compound. The industrial estate has been here forever, and it has that old-school feel to it. Our space is filled with the sound of metal and people moving things around. It can be quite loud sometimes, but that’s just the nature of what we do. We aren't sitting in a fancy air-conditioned office in a skyscraper. We’re right here on the ground, making sure the cookware gets where it needs to go. The walls are a bit scuffed and the floors have seen better days, but it’s a working environment. We have a lot of respect for the history of the Laxmi Mills area. A lot of businesses have come and gone, but we’re still here doing our thing. Everyone on the staff knows their job. We don’t need a lot of instructions anymore. We just get to it as soon as we arrive. The tea breaks are when we actually get to sit and talk for a minute. Then it’s back to the inventory and the orders. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living in Mahalaxmi. We keep it simple and focus on the day-to-day tasks.
