Our college is a place where students come to learn all about medicine and pharmacy work. It’s a lot of hours in the labs and sitting in classrooms. The building is pretty tall and has many floors. We have a lot of students who travel a long way on the trains to get here every morning. You can see them walking from the station with their bags. The air in the labs sometimes smells a bit like chemicals, which is just how it is in a pharmacy school. We have a lot of equipment that we have to keep track of. The staff is usually busy with paperwork or helping someone in the lab. It’s a practical kind of place. We don't have much room for anything that isn't related to the courses. Maharashtra is a big state, and we get people from all over, though many are local. There’s a small canteen where everyone goes to get a quick snack between their long sessions. It gets very crowded in the afternoons. We’ve been part of this Mumbai neighborhood for years. It’s just a busy, working college where everyone is focused on getting through their studies and moving on to their jobs.
