Venus Novelty Items

Venus Novelty Items is located at A-3/4 in the Akshay Apartment on Jeev Koldongri Road in Parle East. Since it’s more of a residential area, it’s usually pretty quiet compared to the main roads. Many different things are packed into the shelves here. You'll mostly find small gifts and household items that aren't available everywhere else. Because we try to fit as much stock as we can, the space is a bit tight. Moving a ladder out of the way so a customer can see a shelf happens sometimes. Opening a shop here made sense because we’ve lived in this area for a long time. Big corporate goals aren't something we have. We just want to keep the shop running and help the people in Parle East find what they need. Although a small window lets in some light, we mostly rely on the overhead bulbs. Every time someone walks in, the doorbell rings, which can be a bit loud. We handle everything ourselves, from cleaning the glass to unpacking the new boxes that arrive once a week. Delivery days are a bit of a mess, but we get it sorted out eventually. This is just a normal, everyday shop for the local folks. We also sell batteries and small lightbulbs when people need them for their homes. It is a quiet life, but we like being our own bosses. Every morning we sweep the front step before opening up.
