Vellocity

Vellocity is at Shop No 13 in the Navbharat Shopping center. If you know where the Lucky Saree Shop is in Sayajigunj, we are just right behind it in Vikhroli East. It’s a bit of a tucked-away spot, which means it’s not as loud as the shops right on the main road. The shopping center has been around for a while, and you can tell by the way the floor tiles are worn down in the hallways. We open up every day around ten, and the first thing we do is check the mail and get the shop looking presentable. It’s a simple setup with a counter, some stools for when our legs get tired, and plenty of storage in the back. Vikhroli East has a specific feel to it, a bit more relaxed than the western side of the tracks, but still busy enough during the morning and evening commutes. We see a lot of the same faces walking past our window every day. Most of our work is routine, just keeping track of what’s coming in and what’s going out. We don't have any big slogans or fancy uniforms. We just wear our regular clothes and talk to people like they’re our neighbors, because usually, they are. Sometimes the fan in the back makes a rattling noise, and we keep saying we’ll fix it, but we never quite get around to it. It’s just how it is here in Sayajigunj. We keep things simple and keep going.
