We are over here on the mezzanine floor of Oriental House, right on J. Tata Road. If you know the area, you know how busy it gets with all the office workers and traffic down below. Being on floor seven, or rather the mezzanine level there, gives us a bit of a break from the street noise, though it’s still pretty lively throughout the day. Vedic Systems isn't a massive place with glass walls and fancy carpets. It’s mostly just desks, a lot of computer monitors, and miles of cables tucked under the floorboards. We spend our days dealing with system setups and trying to figure out why a particular piece of software isn't talking to the hardware like it’s supposed to. It’s frustrating sometimes, especially when a deadline is looming and the tea runs out. The elevator in this building has seen better days, so sometimes we just take the stairs if we aren't carrying heavy gear. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and the view hasn't changed much, but the tech we work on certainly has. It’s a small team, so everyone knows whose turn it is to clear the lunch table or answer the phone when it rings off the hook. We don't do much in the way of advertising or anything like that. We just focus on the projects that land on our desks and try to get them finished without too much trouble.
